This is the first business I spotlighted and the reason I chose Beef ‘O’ Brady’s was that I was looking for a place to grab lunch. I also wanted to take advantage of the free wi-fi to catch up on my work.

I was greeted at the door and immediately taken to a table, the place was busy and I figured maybe it would be 10 minutes before I would be served, but before I could set up my laptop, Jeanie, was greeting me and asking me what I would like to drink.

She took my order and not long before my laptop booted up, my meal was there. I had the cheeseburger wrap, and potato salad like grandma makes. The menu has a great selection of wings, salads, wraps and of course great burgers. I never had to look around to see when my server would be back to fill my glass as it never got past 1/2 full. Jeanie must have had a twin; because of the great service she provides to the customers.

I briefly was able to speak to Tim Broome the owner; this is a very family oriented business and will be a welcome addition to Elizabethton providing 60 jobs for the town. Tim and his wife Jan also own the Pizza Inn across the street and another Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Gray as well as a Pizza Inn in Johnson City.

Tim is very involved in youth league sports, that’s important in today’s society with so many cutbacks in funding. Beef’s is a great place for a night after a game to come and celebrate after a win, or the desert on the menu can take some of the pain away if you have a tough loss.

There are large screen TV’s about everywhere you look, so if your game is rained out bring the team in to watch the pros play or your favorite college team compete.

All this is fine, but my favorite will be the outdoor dining area, when the spring turns to summer, the Twins are in town, can't think of anything better!
