Cage Brawl V from the ladies perspective
Cage Brawl V definitely was not a disappointment to the TRUE MMA FAN on Friday at the Meadowview Conference Center. I am what you could call a TRUE MMA FAN, but I will have to admit I was a little unsure of how the night would turn out. I have watched MMA on TV but this was my first live show.
I walked into the conference center, went to the information desk to get my pass to get in. They didn’t have my name on the list but everyone was nice and helpful… and within a few minutes I was in the door.
I was surprised that this was a family event, there were people there of all ages including small children. I would have never thought this would have been a place for children but after I seen how much fun they were having and how professional the staff and spectators were I would definitely recommend you to bring your whole family.
Cage Brawl started the night out with a prayer and The National Anthem before the first bell at 7pm, another example of the professionalism of the Cage Brawl Promoters.
I noticed that an Ambulance and EMT were right there on sight just in case they were needed. That’s good because one fight stands out to me where it could have easily been needed. When Harold Tavare Jr defeated Wesley Hanson due to a TKO in the second round. Hanson was on the mat for what seemed to be several minutes while the EMT and the rest of the staff helped him up. The EMT was not needed thankfully but I definitely felt a little sorry for him when he walked out of the ring you know he hated being defeated like that. Everyone was enjoying the excitement it brought though.
During a break the sponsors gave away a lot of neat stuff. There were t-shirts, footballs and Frisbees flying through the air and ladies passing out posters. The kids really enjoyed all the free stuff and the rest of us did too. After the fights I talked to two ladies outside the conference center, they thought the light weight fights were more entertaining because there seemed to be more action and they said they had a good time just hanging out, watching the fights and just being one of the guys for a night. I couldn’t agree more!
Over all I will give Cage Brawl V at the Meadowview conference center a 5 out of 5 stars. I will definitely return for a second time.
